NECPWA York, is the home of the York Branch of the North of England Classic and Pre War Automobiles Motoring Club.
(Originally founded as, and formerly known to everyone as the North East Club for Pre War Austins.) The North's Foremost Classic Motoring Club. Established in 1966 NECPWA is now the largest Historic Vehicle Club in the North of England with 850+ members (as per March 2024) and a member of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs.

York Minster Outline DrawingThis site is dedicated to club members from York and the surrounding areas. The branch holds several classic vehicle events over the summer, evening meetings on the first Thursday of the month, coffee mornings on the third Tuesday of the month, various road runs and a Christmas meal.

Membership is open to any enthusiast of old motor vehicles, and it is not necessary to be a vehicle owner to join the club. However, attendance at most of the main Club organised rallies is generally restricted to vehicles built before September 2001. [NB some events or venues may have individual entry rules with stricter vehicle age limits].

Why Join NECPWA?

The Club's aim is to encourage the restoration and regular use of all Historic Motor vehicles produced anywhere in the world. For more information on the Club's History Read about it Here

Classic Vehicles produced before September 2001, of all makes are usually welcome to attend club events. However, events run by the York Branch may have more limited age restrictions, so please read the events page and individual application forms for specific details. NECPWA Club Membership is only £15.00 per year for UK residents.

However, to encourage younger people to the Classic Car movement, membership for those under 30 years of age is free. (With a free subscription though, younger members will only receive the 'E' version of Club Magazine, NECPWA News, not a printed copy
